New 'Pan' Trailer: Peter Flies, Fights Blackbeard

The new preview for the Warner Bros.' origins film teases more of the conflict between Hugh Jackman's pirate and the boy who wouldn't grow up.

Hugh Jackman stopped by The Tonight Show Monday night and brought along a new trailer for his Peter Pan origins film, Pan.

The latest look at the Warner Bros. film, recently pushed back from its summer release to an Oct. 9 bow, teases more of the conflict between Jackman's pirate Blackbeard and Peter Pan (Levi Miller).

The two face off a few times in the new trailer, including once when Blackbeard unsheaths a sword, points it at Peter and says, "Now, kneel."

Peter: "I will never bow to you."

Earlier, the boy who wouldn't grow up is shown telling Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara), "If Blackbeard is going to destroy everything, I'll stand against him."

The preview also offers glimpses of Peter flying and teaming up with the future Captain Hook (Garrett Hedlund), and the film's mythic backstory.

"We have an ancient prophecy," Blackbeard explains. "It tells of a boy who would be disappeared of this world until he was old enough to return. And lead an uprising against me. A boy who could fly."

"C'mon kid, make them believe," Blackbeard adds. Peter says he believes and jumps off a ship.
