New Regency Production Chief Pam Abdy Exiting
Brad Weston exited as CEO of the company in May.
New Regency president of production Pam Abdy is stepping down.
Abdy, who joined the company in 2013 from Scott Stuber's Bluegrass, will wrap up work on Assassin’s Creed starring Michael Fassbender, which hit theaters in December, before heading out.
Her exit is said to be amicable, and follows Brad Weston, who exited as CEO of the company in May. New Regency chairman Yariv Milchan and COO Jonathan Fischer will name her replacement in the coming weeks.
'“We have loved working with Pam over the past three years. She is a phenomenal executive with incredible instincts and filmmaker relationships. We are so appreciative of her dedication to the company and most recently for her work on The Revenant and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed,’” said Milchan and Fischer in a joint statement.
During her time at New Regency, Abdy, who had previously worked as Paramount before moving to Bluegrass, collaborated on several Oscar-winning films including 12 Years a Slave, Birdman and The Revenant.
