New Report Claims Omarosa Fired for Using White House Car Service
The reasoning behind the former Trump aide's dismissal comes in the wake of the recent episode of 'Celebrity Big Brother,' in which she cautioned that Americans should be fearful of "scary" Vice President Mike Pence.
Omarosa Manigault Newman dramatically departed from the White House, with rumors continuing to swirl about why she left her job and whether it was voluntary or if she was forced out.
Though the former Trump aide insisted she resigned from her White House post rather than being fired and escorted off the grounds, a new Politico report claims that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired Manigault Newman after she was discovered to have been using the White House car service known as, “CARPET.” Manigualt Newman reportedly used it as an office pickup and drop-off service, which is forbidden by the federal government.
After Kelly dismissed Manigault Newman, she allegedly stormed the White House residence trying to appeal her firing with Trump. According to one of the officials, the reality star accidentally tripped an electronic Secret Service wire that monitors entry to and exit from the White House residence.
The explanation for Manigault Newman’s firing comes in the wake of the reality star’s words about Vice President Mike Pence in the recent episode of Celebrity Big Brother, on which she is a castmember.
"Can I just say this? As bad as y’all think Trump is, you would be worried about Pence,” Manigault Newman warned her Big Brother cast. Further cautioning, “We would be begging for days of Trump back if Pence became President, that’s all I’m saying. He’s extreme."
Manigualt Newman argued that Pence is “scary,” because he believes Jesus Christ instructs him to say certain things. "I’m Christian. I love Jesus, but he thinks Jesus tells him to say things — I’m like, ‘Jesus didn’t say that.’ Scary.”
Earlier in the season, Manigault Newman also warned about Trump, explaining how she is “haunted by tweets every single day” and the public should be worried because, “it’s not going to be OK.”
White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah debunked Manigault Newman’s comments, explaining that her views shouldn’t be taken seriously. "Omarosa was fired three times on The Apprentice, and this was the fourth time we let her go. She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now."
Manigault Newman and her fellow Celebrity Big Brother castmembers, including Mark McGrath and Brandi Glanville, are residing at the Big Brother house and will be under 24/7 surveillance for the show's live feed. The reality star temporarily left the show after suffering an asthma attack.
