Exposed midriffs proved to be a favorite among many designers, including Rag & Bone, Gregory Parkinson and Mara Hoffman.

Abs alert! Just when you thought you might not see another exposed midriff now that summer has slipped behind us -- don't put away that crunch machine just yet.

David Neville and Marcus Wainwright of Rag & Bone -- a Hollywood weekend staple for both girls and guys -- showed cropped tops under oversized jackets with either soft trousers or slim skirts.

This isn't the Britney Spears' midriff look; it's a lot more subtle, since the rest of the body is quite covered up. But now having seen the peek-a-boo midriffs at Gregory Parkinson's Friday show, and then Mara Hoffman and the Rag & Bone shows (both also on Friday), it might just be time to drop all carbs and go with the stomach-baring flow.

Other noteworthy crop tops that popped up during the week included designs from Charlotte Ronson, Peter Som, Alexander Wang, Maria Cornejo, Rodarte, Badgley Mischka, Cynthia Rowley and Michael Kors.

If you can't beat 'em, get a flatter tummy this winter to ready yourself. You just know Jennifer Aniston's going to be rocking this look before long. Rooney Mara's already done it.
