New Zealand confabs focus on financing

Both conferences will be held in latter half of November

SYDNEY -- New financing models and the funding challenges wrought by the global economic downturn will be at the forefront of discussions at two conferences to be held in New Zealand at the end of November, organizers from both said Thursday.

The New Zealand Screen Producers and Directors Association confab will kick off Nov. 20 in Auckland with a look at how New Zealand filmmakers can capitalize on the country's new production incentive schemes. The Association of Film Commissioners International will hold its annual Cineposium gabfest in the country's film capital, Wellington, on Nov. 21-23.
