Newcomer joins Jonah Hill in 'The Sitter'

EXCLUSIVE: Landry Bender to play troublemaking kid

Landry Bender will be staying up past her bedtime this fall.

The young newcomer has been cast as Blithe, the youngest of a trio of troublemaking kids, in the Fox comedy "The Sitter," which starts filming Monday in New York. Jonah Hill stars as a suspended college student in for a crazy night when he is forced to babysit the kids who live next door to his single mother.

David Gordon Green ("Pineapple Express") is directing from a script from Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka for a July 15 release. Michael De Luca is producing.

This is the first film role for Bender, who has done several plays at the Desert Stages Theatre in Arizona. She is repped by Greene & Associates and MC Talent Management.
