Newt Gingrich Misspells Sophia Loren's Name in Melania Trump Tweet
The former speaker of the house took to Twitter to compliment the new first lady and ended up misspelling an iconic actress' name.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich took to Twitter Saturday, the morning after Donald Trump and Melania Trump shared their first dance as the president and first lady at the Inaugural Ball, to applaud the new commander in chief.
The politician from Georgia also tweeted his admiration of Melania, writing that she's the "most beautiful first lady in American history." Gingrich then went on to compare her to iconic Hollywood actress Sophia Loren, but spelled Loren's last name incorrectly as "Lauren" in the process.
Loren became the first actress to win an Oscar for a foreign film in 1962 for her role in Vittorio De Sica's Two Women.
