The former Speaker of the House dared the Fox host to call Bill Clinton "a sexual predator."

Newt Gingrich went on the attack Tuesday night, accusing Fox News host Megyn Kelly of being "fascinated with sex" when she brought up the multiple sexual assault allegations levied against GOP nominee Donald Trump in the past week.

Kelly has infamously bumped heads with Trump — particularly during the primaries when things got uncomfortably heated, with the presidential nominee reacting angrily when he was put on the spot and forced to answer to his past comments about calling women "fat pigs" and "slobs."

The exchange between Kelly and the former Speaker of the House didn't go any smoother, with Gingrich striking back hard, asking Kelly "to go back through the tapes on your show recently" to illustrate her obsession.

"You are fascinated with sex and you don't care about public policy," he added.

Kelly was questioning Gingrich about Trump's integrity after the Access Hollywood tape debacle that showcased the presidential candidate boasting about "grabbing women by the genitals and kissing them against their will," as Kelly put it.

The Fox News host questioned Gingrich about whether the party had chosen the right nominee given Trump's foundering poll numbers, especially among female voters, and the perception that voters have that he may indeed be a "sexual predator." That label didn't go well with Gingrich, who lashed out: "You cannot defend that statement. I'm sick and tired of people like you using language that's inflammatory, that's not true."

Kelly reminded Gingrich that Trump has steadfastly denied the allegations and that "we have to cover that story."

She also assured her guest that her questions were not because of her "fascination with sex." "I am fascinated by the protection of women and understanding what we're getting in the Oval Office," said Kelly.

Gingrich's final push was to include Bill Clinton in the mix by referring to the former president's past dalliances, and he dared Kelly to call Clinton a "sexual predator."

Kelly for her part, remained professional and replied: "You can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them, Mr. Speaker. Thanks for being here."
