Newton-John joins F&TVM music panel


Olivia Newton-John, the singer, songwriter and film and TV star, has joined the "Master Class: Women in Music" panel at the 2006 Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Film & TV Music Conference, to be held Nov. 14-15 at the Beverly Hilton.

Beginning with her 1973 album "Let Me Be There," Newton-John's musical career has spanned three decades. Her five No. 1 hits include "I Honestly Love You," "Have You Never Been Mellow" and "Physical." Newton-John's industry honors have included four Grammys, an Emmy for songwriting and numerous Country Music Awards, American Music Awards and People's Choice Awards. She had starring roles in the features "Grease" and "Xanadu."

Newton-John joins a panel including music supervisors Maureen Crowe and Alexandra Patsavas, songwriter-producer Kara DioGuardi, agent-manager Laura Engel, EMI Publishing executive vp Jody Gerson, artist Annette Strean, Sony Pictures president of worldwide music Lia Vollack and Deutsch director of music and celebrity licensing Kris Weiner.
