The singer is consoling her husband as he recovers in an Aspen, Colo., hospital.
Mariah Carey is taking care of her husband, Nick Cannon, while he recovers from mild kidney failure in a hospital in the the ski resort town of Aspen.
The singer posted a picture of herself playing nurse -- feeding Cannon some sort of drink with a straw -- while they snuggled together in a hospital bed, Cannon's expression looking tired and sick.
"Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure," Carey tweeted, adding the hash tag "#mybraveman."
Carey continued her plea in a message on her official website, telling fans: "We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C."
"We're doing OK but we're 'straaaaaanded in Aspen,' She continued, adding: "#DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we're together, we're OK. I'm not trying to make light out of the situation because it's a serious moment that's very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers."
Carey, 41, married Cannon -- a 31-year-old radio DJ and television host -- in the Bahamas in 2008, following a whirlwind romance. In May 2011, she gave birth to their twin son and daughter, Moroccan and Monroe.
