The audiobook will feature a recording of Offerman's stand-up special and songs performed, as well as new introductory material and musings recently written and recorded by the comedian.

Nick Offerman may have had to cancel the tour of his stand-up show All Rise due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, but he's now bringing the tour to fans at home in an audiobook format.

The audiobook original, All Rise: Audio Perambulation (Penguin Random House Audio) was recorded live last year during Offerman's tour and will now be available to be listened to on Oct. 13, it was announced Monday.

Described as "half stand-up show and half fireside chat," the audiobook original will feature a recording of Offerman's stand-up special and songs performed, as well as new introductory material and musings recently written and recorded by the comedian.

"I talk very slow and play some songs, so if nothing else it will be a great way to get your kids to go to sleep," Offerman says of the upcoming production.

Offerman had been touring All Rise, directed by wife Megan Mullally, both domestically and abroad just last year before the pandemic hit earlier this year.

"In Nick Offerman's view, we as a country can be doing a better job when it comes to decency... Despite all the challenges we're currently facing, America can get it together if we can, simply, rise above it all, and admit that a lot of what we're fighting about is actually pretty stupid, especially when told in Nick's signature comedic voice — songs included," PRH Audio said in a statement.

The original is described by PRH Audio as one that "compels listeners to chuckle while also causing them to contemplate a better side of humanity than the one to which they've grown accustomed."

All Rise: Audio Perambulation will be available on Oct. 13.
