Nickelodeon orders up two comedy series

'True Jackson, VP' and 'Glenn Martin DDS' picked up

Nickelodeon has handed out two 20-episode series orders: to live-action comedy "True Jackson, VP" and to stop-motion animated comedy "Glenn Martin DDS."

"True," which was originally picked up as a pilot with the working title "True Fashion," stars Keke Palmer as 15-year-old True Jackson, who is tapped to head the youth division of a major fashion label.

The series, created and exec produced by Andy Gordon, begins shooting in September in Los Angeles.

"Glenn," about a dentist and his family embarking on a cross-country road trip, hails from Michael Eisner's Tornante Animation.
