Nielsen news brands give group hug to Byrne
EmptyNielsen Business Media has formed a new Media & Entertainment Group that brings its business-to-business news brands in the advertising, media and branding space together with its entertainment division.
The move aligns Adweek, Brandweek, Mediaweek, Editor & Publisher and the Clio Awards with such brands as The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard. NBM is part of media measurement and information company the Nielsen Co.
Senior vp Gerry Byrne heads the Media & Entertainment Group. He has overseen NBM's entertainment brands for the past year.
NBM president Greg Farrar said the realignment decision was a logical next step as "the information, insights, data, conference and event resources within all of these brands are more effective together." (partialdiff)
