Nielsen's Dennler measures up


Nielsen has named Bruce Dennler as Nielsen Entertainment's president.

Dennler will be in charge of the division's efforts in measuring film, home entertainment, music and other areas. The Los Angeles-based Dennler will report to Nielsen president of media client services Dave Thomas. He was president and COO of Palisades MediaGroup in Los Angeles.

Nielsen also said Monday that it has released KeepingTrac, an Internet-based commercial-tracking system that lets advertisers know that their spots ran the previous day. Without KeepingTrac, that confirmation takes weeks. Media buying agency Carat is the first client to sign up, Nielsen said.

Dennler's experience includes serving as executive vp and director of planning at Carat North America and jobs at McCann-Erickson, Grey Advertising and ICG.
