'Night Moves' Trailer: Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning Plot Eco-Terrorism (Video)

UPDATED: The Kelly Reichardt-directed film is set for U.S. release on May 30.

In the thriller Night Moves, Jesse Eisenberg and Dakota Fanning appear to become uneasy about an eco-terrorism plot they've helped plan.

An international trailer for the film debuted Friday from French distribution label Ad Vitam. Directed by Kelly Reichardt, the film revolves around a plan to destroy a dam in Oregon, although the trailer suggests that things may go awry early on. Peter Sarsgaard also features in the title.

U.S. rights to the thriller were acquired by Cinedigm last September, following its premiere a month earlier at the Venice Film Festival.

At the Venice festival, The Hollywood Reporter's reviewer David Rooney compared the title to political dramas of an earlier era. "The detached yet compassionate gaze; the penetrating access to her characters’ despair ... These assets are applied to a story that, as it develops, more and more starts resembling a 1970s political paranoia thriller," he wrote.

Cinedigm has set a U.S. release for the film on May 30.
