NMA ups Mark Owens to president

Exec headed Vanguard Ent. division prior to appointment

Mark Owens has been named president and partner at NMA Entertainment & Marketing, which specializes in entertainment marketing strategy, product integration, event marketing, consumer promotions and publicity.

Working from Los Angeles, Owens will oversee and streamline the company's growing global entertainment operations in New York, Boston, Beijing, Tokyo, London and Sydney.

For the past year, Owens has headed NMA's Vanguard Entertainment division, which focuses on representing content producers and entertainment properties in developing integrated media sponsorships. Vanguard clients include HSN, Yoostar, AETN and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Before that, Owens was managing director of Ketchum Public Relations' global entertainment division for four years and executive vp of Davie-Brown Entertainment, responsible for clients such as Pepsi, Hershey's, Reebok and BMW. At Davie-Brown, Owens initiated more than 50 award-winning partnerships with content providers.
