Nordyke shifts to online editor post at THR


The Hollywood Reporter television reporter Kimberly Nordyke has been promoted to news editor of, effective Jan. 1.

In her new role, she will work closely with The Reporter's editors, writers and online team to plan, package and present the day's news across all of THR's electronic channels, including the Web site, blogs, e-mail newsletters, the THR Direct desktop news application and mobile.

"Kimberly has just the right mix of computer and Web skills, experience as a writer and knowledge of the industry to help us develop a seamless print and digital operation," THR editor Elizabeth Guider said.

Nordyke has been with THR for eight years, serving as a TV reporter covering the cable and syndication beats since June 2004. She has written breaking-news stories about programming, executive shuffles and ratings as well as analytical trend pieces, features and columns. She also has covered such industry events as the Emmys and Golden Globes as well as such trade shows as NATPE and NCTA.

Nordyke joined the daily trade publication in 2000 as a copy editor and added feature writer to her résumé before transitioning into the daily reporting position.

Before joining THR, Nordyke held positions with the Missouri state government and the University of Missouri, where her duties included running Web sites. (partialdiff)
