Norman Foster joins Berlin speakers

Marin Karmitz, Li Edelkoort also to give keynotes

COLOGNE, Germany -- To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the Berlin International Film Festival is hosting a panel discussion on the future of the movie house with speakers including British star architect Sir Norman Foster, French producer/distributor Marin Karmitz and Dutch designer and trend forecaster Li Edelkoort.

Called the Berlinale Keynotes, the panel will also include Austrian architect Wolf D. Prix, experimental filmmaker Heinz Emigholz and architecture critic Deyan Sudjic. They will discuss all aspects of the movie theater, from its architecture to its social function.

The 2010 Berlinale Keynotes will be held on Sunday, Feb. 14 from 2-6 pm at the Neue Nationalgalerie. The 60th Berlinale runs Feb. 11-21.
