'Nymphomaniac' Marketing Team to Give Keynote Speech at Vilnius Film Festival Sidebar

The creative minds behind the innovative marketing campaign for Lars von Trier's controversial erotic epic Nymphomaniac are among the keynote speakers at an industry focus next month during the Vilnius International Film Festival, Lithuania's top annual movie showcase.
Einstein Lipski and Maria Einstein Biilmann of Copenhagen movie marketing agency Einstein Film, will talk at Meeting Point Vilnius (MPV) about how they devised and executed a creative strategy that including persuading Stellan Skarsgaard, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Shia LeBeouf, Uma Thurman and Sophie Kennedy Clark to be photographed near naked simulating orgiastic faces.
The industry event, the sixth annual gathering at the 20th edition of the Vilnius IFF - known locally by its Lithuanian name Kino Pavasaris, which means 'film spring' - is one of the largest professional networking events in the Baltic region. This year's festival includes a retrospective of films by French art house director Leo Carax.
The event, which runs March 31-April 2, organizers say, "gives filmmakers and other industry professionals an opportunity to discuss current topics, focusing on film marketing and financing, as well as an audience building."
MPV opens with "Zero Day," a focus on Lithuanian and regional projects, giving festival programmers and buyers a chance to see the latest works in progress from the Baltic states.
The other two days are aimed at international guests, where filmmakers from the Baltics, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will have the opportunity to introduce their feature, documentary, and animated film projects. Organizers say that programmers from international film festivals including Berlin, San Sebastian, Rotterdam, Venice, Gothenburg, Transylvania and Moscow have already confirmed their attendance.
