Obama Bound for Los Angeles for Two High-Dollar Fundraisers
On Oct. 10, the president will attend a dinner at the home of interior designer Michael Smith, followed by a concert at a Pacific Palisades home.
President Barack Obama is bound for Los Angeles in October for two events in support of the Democratic National Committee.
On Oct. 10, the president will first attend an intimate dinner at the home of interior designer Michael Smith, whose longtime partner, former HBO exec James Costos, is currently serving as U.S. ambassador to Spain.
The Smith fundraiser — with tickets ranging from $10,000 to $33,400 per person — will be followed by a private concert at a Pacific Palisades home. The mystery performer is expected to be announced in the coming days. Tickets for the concert range from $1,000 to $5,000 per person.
Obama was last in Los Angeles in June for a pair of DNC fundraisers hosted Tyler Perry and Chuck Lorre.
