O'Dell takes key FremantleMedia post
EmptyLONDON -- FremantleMedia has hired former TWI and Granada entertainment executive Chris O'Dell to the new post of executive producer of worldwide entertainment, joining the team in charge of such international formats as "Idols," "Got Talent" and "X Factor," the company said Friday.
O'Dell, most recently creative executive at indie producer TWI Entertainment, will manage entertainment formats across FremantleMedia, the company's biggest growth area.
His career highlights include working on such shows as "Blind Date," "Ant & Dec's All Star Cup" and "Surprise Surprise." He has also created international formats such as "Chef.V Britain" and "Better Half."
"We are excited to appoint Chris O'Dell to FremantleMedia's Creative Networks team," senior executive vp entertainment and production Rob Clark said.
