Oprah Winfrey net orders 'Rehab' show

Eight-episode series centers on eating disorders

Oprah Winfrey's cable network OWN has announced another show for its lineup, "Inside Rehab," set inside an eating disorder treatment facility.

The eight-episode series will document a group of patients as they undergo a 42-day recovery program.

" 'Inside Rehab' takes viewers into the world of eating disorders in a raw and transformative way," said Lisa Erspamer, chief creative officer. "Whether you have issues with food or know someone who does, this series offers perspective, hope and the possibility to see food-based issues in a new light."

The announcement comes a day after E! announced an eating disorder miniseries titled "What's Eating You?" that will air this fall and tackle common as well as bizarre eating problems.

OWN, the co-venture between Winfrey and Discovery Communications, is scheduled to launch Jan. 1.
