The private memorial service for Oscar de la Renta, who died Monday at age 82, is set to take place Nov. 3.

The mass will start at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola Park in New York, reports WWD.

De la Renta died at his Connecticut home, surrounded by family, friends and "more than a few dogs," according to the hand-written statement posted by his stepdaughter, Eliza Reed Bolen, and her husband, Alex Bolen, on the designer's website Tuesday morning.

He dressed many first ladies including Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush, as well as stars like Jessica Chastain, Zooey Deschanel and Sarah Jessica Parker. In her personal tribute to the late designer, Parker wrote, "I can't remember how I had the courage to be friends with him — he was so otherworldly in a way."
