It's your chance to weigh in on the top categories, including best picture, director, actor and actress.

The Academy announced its nominees for the 89th Oscars on Tuesday, and now it's your turn to weigh in.

Arrival, La La Land, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water and Manchester by the Sea are among the nine best picture contenders in the nominations, where diversity was center stage as Lion, Moonlight, Fences and Hidden Figures also were among the best picture nominees. Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge marks Hollywood's redemption for the director, who had spent years on a director hiatus.

La La Land scored both best actor and actress nominations for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, respectively. Isabelle Huppert (Elle), Ruth Negga (Loving) and Natalie Portman (Jackie) are also nominated for best actress, along with Meryl Streep (Florence Foster Jenkins), who has now earned a record-breaking 20 noms — more than any other actor or actress.

Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea), Andrew Garfield (Hacksaw Ridge), Viggo Mortensen (Captain Fantastic) and Denzel Washington (Fences) were all announced in the best actor category.

Which movie do you think should be named best picture come Feb. 26? And should Mel Gibson receive the best director nod? Cast your votes for best picture, actor actress and director in our poll below, and come back to see the results.
