Police bombsquads investigated the packages found near Hollywood and Vine, blocks from the Oscar ceremony.

Pre-Oscar traffic was temporarily hit with an early setback with the discovery of suspicious pink boxes found near Hollywood and Vine on Sunday morning.

While police bombsquads inspected the boxes found in the Chase bank parking lot, several businesses were evacuated and Vine Street was closed in both directions.

A spokesperson from the Hollywood Police Department said that the packages were inspected and given the all clear at 1 p.m.

Sgt. Chuck Slater of the Hollywood Police Department said the measures were taken for "the safety of the public and police officers."

The closure came on top of already planned closures for Sunday's Oscar ceremonies.

UPDATE: The Hollywood Police Department inform THR that Vine is open to traffic as of 2 p.m.
