Oscar.com buffs up as show nears

NEW YORK -- Oscar.com is featuring behind-the-scenes videos, interactive games and other content in advance of Sunday's show, ABC said Tuesday.

One of the new videos featured on the site is "Road to the Oscars," an eight-part series hosted by Antonio Sabato Jr. that will present footage and interviews from pre-Oscar events.

Also at Oscar.com, McCann Erickson exec and fashion commentator Tom Julian will host a show focusing on Oscar style.

In addition, the Web site will present interactive applications. One will allow users to submit their own video acceptance speeches to the page, and another features widgets with predictions about winners of the awards.

The site also will feature Oscar news and trivia games along with an enhanced mobile site.

During the show, Oscar.com will have a "Thank You Cam" in which award winners will leave video comments after leaving the stage. And Los Angeles Times columnist Joel Stein will blog from the show.

On the Monday after the show, the site will have backstage interviews with the winners.
