Oscars 2015: 'Whiplash' Wins Best Sound Mixing

The awards are being handed out Sunday night in Hollywood.

Whiplash took home the Academy Award for best sound mixing on Sunday night.

The film, nominated in five categories this year, beat out Interstellar, American Sniper, Birdman and Unbroken to take home the Oscar.

Sienna Miller and Chris Evans presented the award to Craig Mann, Ben Wilkins and Thomas Curley.

Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the 87th annual Academy Awards, which is being broadcast live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
