Oscars 2015: Stars Represent Their Favorite Causes on the Carpet
Laura Dern, David Oyelowo and Patricia Arquette were among the celebs using their Oscar outfits to promote charitable orgs that are close to their hearts.
All eyes were on the Oscars Sunday night and these celebrities were using the platform to show support behind their favorite causes. Actor David Oyelowo sported a ribbon promoting ebola awareness, atop his bold red Dolce & Gabbana shawl lapel tuxedo.
Best supporting actress nominees Patricia Arquette mentioned skipping a manicure this morning to launch a campaign to benefit her charity, GiveLove.org, which helps improve sanitation in developing countries and Laura Dern wore a large turquoise ring (the color of lung cancer awareness) to honor her Wild character, who died of lung cancer, stating, "Cheryl’s story and her mother was a great light."
