The host is also shown interacting with presenters Channing Tatum, Benedict Cumberbatch, Will Smith and Jennifer Lawrence backstage, where the "American Hustle" star joked about taking a topless photo.

Ellen DeGeneres' preparations to host the Oscars, including a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals and the big night are showcased in a new video that the host debuted on the Wednesday edition of her talk show.

The clip shows how intent she was on getting a star-packed selfie to break a record on Twitter. DeGeneres is shown discussing the bit in a meeting, saying, "I really hope everyone jumps in this picture. I keep thinking that would be amazing if everyone really gets in."

She's also shown walking through an empty theater during two rehearsals. In one, she pretends to ask Bono to take a photo of her, and in another, which looks like the dress rehearsal, with a few people in the audience, she says, "Hey, everybody. Blah, blah, blah … you're not going to know what I'm doing. I'm not going to let you know."

On the big night, after the selfie was snapped, DeGeneres is shown going over the picture backstage, marveling at the people in the shot including, "poor Jared Leto jumping in. He ran over."

Later she proudly tells Glenn Close, Kerry Washington and Jennifer Lawrence that they broke Twitter, to which Lawrence sarcastically responds, "Well, I'm shocked!"

But the American Hustle star has an idea about how they can break the entire Internet.

"One of us should've flashed a boob," Lawrence says. "That's the only way."

DeGeneres then offers, "We have time …," to which Lawrence responds by saying "Get ready," and preparing to pull down the top of her dress.

The behind-the-scenes footage also shows DeGeneres refining her "sommelier" joke directed at Barkhad Abdi, adding the intro about Lupita Nyong'o being from Kenya.

As they rehearse the joke, DeGeneres says her "Who's the wine captain now?" line and laughs, saying she's "so proud of the joke."

The video also shows her interacting with Channing Tatum, Benedict Cumberbatch and Will Smith backstage, joking with the latter about him taking over for her at the end of the show.

"Listen, Ellen had to leave," Smith says.
