Oscars: Glenn Weiss Returning as Ceremony Director
The 89th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will take place Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Glenn Weiss is returning as Oscars director for a second consecutive year, producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd announced Wednesday.
"As a veteran director of live television, Glenn has mastered both the technical and creative nuances that make for a dynamic, 'in the moment' viewing experience," De Luca and Todd said in a statement. "We could not be more thrilled to be working with him."
The Emmy-nominated director's past credits include 16 Tony Awards, the Primetime Emmy Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, among other live television events.
The 89th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will take place Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and will be broadcast live on ABC beginning at 4 p.m. PT.
