Overture prepares for 'Your Birthday'

Romantic comedy is joint project with Anonymous

Overture Films and Anonymous Content are gift-wrapping a new romantic comedy project titled "A Little Something for Your Birthday."

Michael Engler is attached to direct Susan Walter's screenplay about a clothing designer struggling her way into her 30s. Walter's script made it onto the 2008 Black List of most-liked screenplays in December.

Steve Golin and Alix Madigan of Anonymous are attached to produce. Jennifer Levine, who manages Walter, is an exec producer.

Overture's Robert Kessel and Lauren Kisilevsky are overseeing for the studio. The filmmakers are in search of a lead actress.

Engler, repped by WME and Industry Entertainment, has directed episodes of "Sex and the City," "Six Feet Under" and NBC's "30 Rock." He also has the indie comedy feature "The Big Question" in development at M.E.G.A. Films.

Walter, repped by WME and Untitled, has her original screenplay "Seven-Year Switch" set up at Red Wagon Prods.

Overture recently released "Last Chance Harvey," "Traitor" and "Paper Heart." The company has "Pandorum" and "Capitalism: A Love Story" hitting theaters next month.
