'Pam' debut averages 1.1 mil viewers

Pamela Anderson reality show kicked off Sunday

"Pam: Girl on the Loose," Pamela Anderson's new reality show on E! Entertainment, got off to an OK start Sunday night.

The series averaged 1.1 million total viewers at 10 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research. Compared with other recent premieres of celebrity-driven reality series on E!, "Pam" was off 27% from "Denise Richards: It's Complicated" and "Living Lohan," each of which debuted May 26 with 1.5 million viewers.

"Sunset Tan," which had its Season 2 bow after "Pam" at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, built on "Pam's" performance by 200,000 viewers with an average of 1.3 million. That's also a significant improvement over "Tan's" May 2007 series premiere, which pulled in 795,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, the finale of "HGTV Design Star 3" at 9 p.m. Sunday averaged 3.3 million viewers, up slightly from the Season 2 closer, which drew 3.1 million viewers in September against the Primetime Emmy Awards telecast.
