Pamela Anderson Is the Last Playboy Cover Star to Pose Nude
It’s impossible to think about Playboy without picturing Pamela Anderson, the magazine’s most famous centerfold dating back to her first in 1989. Since then she’s appeared on 14 covers, including the most recent for the January/February 2016 issue, which is also, coincidentally, the glossy’s last featuring nude models.
Is there any more perfect way to wrap up the end of an era? The new issue comes out Dec. 11, and features Anderson fairly close up, with lots of smoky black eye makeup and plenty of bare cleavage. The only thing she’s wearing is a choker that reads "SEX."
The former Playmate apparently found out about the magazine’s plans to stop photographing nudes — a move that resulted from the proliferation of nakedness on the Internet — from her son. The 48-year-old also ran the potential gig by him — a request from Hugh Hefner, of course — to make sure he was cool with it. Clearly she got the go-ahead. The issue also features an interview with the Baywatch star conducted by James Franco. We expect it will be quite titillating.
