Pamela Anderson Joins 'Baywatch' Movie
C.J. Parker returns, Dwayne Johnson unveils on Instagram.
C.J. may yet don her iconic red swimsuit again, as Pamela Anderson has joined the cast of the Baywatch movie.
Dwayne Johnson made the announcement on his Instagram account calling C.J. Parker "one of the most iconic characters of a generation." Johnson went on to say that "[we] couldn't have made this movie without [Anderson]."
Anderson joins the other lead character from the original TV show David Hasselhoff, who signed up for the movie in March. Carmen Electra, another TV series favorite, has also recently intimated that she would be very keen to be involved with the movie.
Baywatch centers on the leader of an elite group of lifeguards (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young hotshot former Olympian (Zac Efron) to save the beloved bay. The movie began shooting Feb. 22.
Directed by Seth Gordon, Baywatch co-stars Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach and Hannibal Buress. Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are producing.
She introduced the world to "CJ Parker" and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn't have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us! #BAYWATCH MAY 19, 2017. #PamAnderson #OS #OriginalSmokestack
