Par taps Teri Fournier as exec vp legal

Worked in private practice before TBS, New Line

Paramount Pictures has hired Teri Fournier, formerly of New Line, as executive vp legal affairs.

Fournier will manage all legal matters related to the studio's film slate, including development, production, publicity, marketing and distribution concerns. She replaces Karen Magid, who recently was named executive vp litigation.

"Teri brings great experience, judgment and temperament into the Paramount fold, and we're thrilled to have her join our team," said executive vp business affairs Daniel Ferleger, to whom Fournier will report.

After working at the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker and in private practice, she became vp and deputy general counsel for Turner Broadcasting System. A six-year stint at New Line followed.
