She was most recently at Tobey Maguire's production company, and CAA prior to that.

Paradigm has hired Sally Willcox to oversee its media rights department, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

"Sally excels at discovering and developing intellectual property," co-head of motion picture literary Adam Kanter and co-head of television literary Andy Patman said Tuesday in a joint statement. "It is her passion to find inspiring opportunities for her clients, making her the perfect person to drive and expand our media rights division."

Willcox comes from Tobey Maguire's production company, Material Pictures, where she oversaw acquisition and TV and film development. Before that she was at CAA, where she helped realize projects including Waiting to Exhale, Adaptation, The Joy Luck Club, Seabiscuit, The Hurt Locker, Locke, Where the Wild Things Are, Beautiful Creatures and Unbroken. The Yale alumna, who is founding board chair of 826LA and also serves on the Writers Guild Foundation board, served as an executive producer of James Ponsoldt's Dave Eggers adaptation The Circle, starring Tom Hanks and Emma Watson.

"I'm delighted to join Paradigm's media rights team, which includes some of the sharpest and most passionate agents in the business," Willcox, who will be based in the agency's Beverly Hills headquarters, said in a statement. "I've always admired Paradigm and its unwavering focus on the artists they represent, and I look forward to continuing our work with authors and their representatives in that tradition."
