Film features music by Ben Harper, Jack Johnson

Mark Jacobs' "Jesse's Story" -- a documentary about surfer Jesse Billauer, who suffered a paralyzing spinal chord injury but continued surfing -- will be the opening night film at the 10th annual Malibu Film Festival. The fest runs from Thursday through Saturday at the Malibu Cinemas and the Ocean Avenue Screening Room in Santa Monica.

The documentary also features Christopher Reeve, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Bob Hurley, Rob Machado, Kelly Slater and Shane Dorian with music by Johnson, Harper, Jason Mraz and G. Love.

Domestix, the Beverly Hills-based domestic sales company, is handling the film.
