Paramount Domestic Distribution Chief Don Harris Exiting
The executive has served in the top job for four years.
Don Harris is stepping down as president of domestic distribution at Paramount Pictures.
The executive, who has served in the post since September 2011, will exit the studio when his contract expires in September. He was named president when Jim Tharp left.
Insiders say an external and internal search is underway for Harris' successor, who will report to president of worldwide marketing and distribution Megan Colligan.
"I am writing to let you know that Don Harris will be transitioning out of his role at Paramount Pictures at the conclusion of his contract to pursue other opportunities. We are very grateful for his dedication and leadership during his many years with the studio. He has established himself to be among the most respected executives in his field, and has lead Paramount to a tremendously successful run during his time here," Colligan said in an email to staff.
