Paramount Promotes International Marketing and Distribution Execs Nic Crawley, Mark Viane
Anthony Marcoly, president of Paramount Pictures International, is leaving the company
As it revamps its international marketing and distribution teams, Paramount Pictures has promoted Nic Crawley to president, international marketing and distribution and Mark Viane to co-president, international marketing and distribution. Anthony Marcoly, who has served as president of Paramount Pictures International since 2011, is leaving the company.
Together Crawley and Viane, who will both report to Megan Colligan, president, worldwide distribution and marketing, will oversee all international marketing and distribution. Last month, the studio announced a new structure with Colligan overseeing all domestic and international theatrical as well as home media distribution.
Crawley has served as Paramount’s president of international marketing since 2011. Prior to that, he was senior vp, global marketing at Walt Disney Studios, where he worked for 19 years. Viane has served as senior vp of international distribution for Asia Pacific and Latin America for Paramount since 2012. He joined the studio in 2007 as senior vp of distribution for Europe, Middle East and Africa after serving as vp for distribution at United International Pictures, where he began his career in 1996.
“In today’s global marketplace, marketing and distribution needs to be a seamless operation,” Colligan said. “With Nic’s outstanding track record on the marketing side and Mark’s global distribution experience, Paramount will creatively and effectively enhance its global reach and achieve even greater exposure for our filmmakers.”
