Legendary Beauty Guru Pat McGrath Announces Eye Makeup Kit
This is definitely not no makeup-makeup.
Pat McGrath is on a roll. First she debuted her opulent Gold 001 eyeshadow at a Paris Fashion Week event that had her giving golden makeovers to models and fans in the Tuileries Garden, including Bella Hadid, Kris Jenner and Lily Donaldson. (She also used it to paint models' lips at the Prada show in Milan.) And now she’s revealed her latest statement-making makeup.
The new release is slated for Dec. 15, but was announced on Thursday night at a Brooklyn club kid–themed party thrown with Vogue at Kellogg’s Diner. It’s called Phantom 002 — a mysterious name for a very bright collection of cosmetics.
Tavi Gevinson and models Hailey Baldwin and Stella Maxwell were a few of those in attendance for the affair. The eight-piece kit is over the top and decadent, comprising two black liners McGrath is advertising as "illegally black," along with a versatile eye gloss, four vivid metallic shades (fuchsia, gold, copper and electric blue) and a pair of brushes.
At $240, the kit isn’t for the casual makeup user, but by the looks of McGrath’s turnout last night, it’s definitely appealing to the fashion crowd. Consider your bold, attention-grabbing friend’s holiday wish list updated.
