The captain gets a manager

Patrick Stewart has signed with Anonymous Content for management.

Equally beloved as Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Captain Picard and X-Men’s Professor X, the British thespian is staying busy readying next year’s Starz comedy Blunt Talk. Stewart will star as a cable news host and also produce the Seth MacFarlane-Jonathan Ames series, which Starz already has picked up for two seasons.

In addition to the latest installment of Fox’s massive superhero franchise, Stewart starred this year as a retired professional dancer in the Tribeca indie Match. He also lent his authoritative yet soothing voice to MacFarlane projects American Dad!, Family Guy and, most fittingly, Cosmos.

Stewart was classically trained at the Royal Shakespeare Company, where since his 1966 debut he has played Henry IV, Titus Andronicus, Mark Antony, Prospero and Shylock, among many other acclaimed roles. Earlier this year he teamed with his X-Men nemesis/real-life BFF Ian McKellen for a Broadway doubleheader of No Man’s Land and Waiting for Godot.

When not starring on stage and screen, Stewart can be seen delighting fans on social media. He left WME after his agent Brian Swardstrom joined UTA in January, but he continues to be repped by Independent Talent Group in the U.K.
