Patton Oswalt and Meredith Salenger Engaged

The couple stepped out together at the 'Baby Driver' L.A. premiere last month.

Love is in the air for Patton Oswalt and Meredith Salenger.

The couple is engaged, reps for the actors confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Oswalt, 48, and Salenger, 47, made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the Baby Driver premiere in L.A. last month.

Salenger also shared the happy news via Twitter.

Their engagement comes 15 months after Oswalt's wife, Michelle McNamara, died unexpectedly in her sleep in April 2016. Oswalt and McNamara have an 8-year-old daughter, Alice.

Oswalt penned an emotional tribute on the one-year anniversary of McNamara's death. "Michelle brought me nothing but happiness. You see it in our faces, that picture between the two pics of the box. That was taken literally a month after we started going out. Look at us. We knew this was it," he wrote, adding, "Michelle's gone but she wasn't the kind of soul that disappears or dies out."

According to People, Oswalt and Salenger met through their mutual friend, actress Martha Plimpton. The pair have also been open about their budding relationship, posting photos of each other on Instagram and interacting via Twitter.

Oswalt is a comedian whose film and TV credits include Magnolia, Ratatouille, HBO's Veep and CBS' The King of Queens. He won an Emmy last year for his comedy special Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping. Salenger is an actress whose credits include Disney's The Journey of Natty Gan and Lake Placid.
