Patton Oswalt’s Roy Moore Reveals New Campaign Slogans On 'Tonight Show'
The faux political candidate also jokingly rejected Trump’s endorsement.
Jimmy Fallon took a moment on Tuesday’s Tonight Show to give Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore a chance to speak his truth.
After President Donald Trump announced he was fully endorsing Moore despite Moore's facing multiple sexual misconduct claims, the president and candidate both continued to receive backlash, something Fallon wanted to address.
Fallon had Patton Oswalt pretend to be Moore and join him via video.
“Thank you for letting me do this via satellite Jimmy. I’m not allowed anywhere near the Rockefeller Christmas tree,” said Oswalt's Moore.
After Fallon asked what his thoughts were on Trump’s endorsement, Oswalt’s Moore brought up the sexual misconduct allegations against the president.
“Well I’m shocked. These are some serious and disturbing allegations against Donald Trump and frankly I do not want to be associated with this fella at all,” Oswalt's Moore said, also admitting he’s “rejecting [Trump's] endorsement.”
“I think.… He’s immature, he’s annoying, he’s gossipy.… He’s like a teenage girl, but in a bad way,” Oswalt’s Moore said, alluding to the candidate’s alleged inappropriate behavior with underage girls.
“I’m not sure how much longer I want to talk to you here,” Fallon retorted, to which Oswalt’s Moore joked, “Oh come on! Look at my cowboy hat. I’m like Billy…the Kid molester.”
Before Fallon was able to cut their interview, the late-night host allowed Oswalt's Moore to announce his new campaign slogans.
Slogans included: “I dress like this because I can’t go to the mall to get new clothes,” “Don’t Google me” and “If 2017 was a person, it would be me.”
Later in the night, Fallon and Oswalt faced off against Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon and The Roots’ Tariq Trotter in Virtual Reality Pictionary.
The game took a comical turn when McKinnon struggled to virtually sketch a disco ball, which Fallon continuously compared to a walnut. “The Earth rotating? Super Moon? Don’t point at my walnut? Pointing at the spinning walnut?,” Fallon jokingly guessed.
