Patton Oswalt Shares Daughter's Tribute to Late Wife, Michelle McNamara
The seven-year-old had some profound observations about her mom's death.
After posting his own tribute to his late wife Michelle McNamara on Friday, over the weekend Patton Oswalt shared a tribute from their seven-year-old daughter Alice.
"When your mom dies you're the best memory of her. Everything you do is a memory of her," Oswalt quoted Alice as saying.
The profound tribute from their daughter comes over a week after McNamara died suddenly at the age of 46.
On Friday, Oswalt tweeted of McNamara, a true-crime author, "She wrote lines that stung & hummed. 13 years in her presence was happily humbling."
He also noted that donations could be made in McNamara's honor to 826LA, a nonprofit that helps kids with writing.
The cause of McNamara's death remains unknown and could take months to determine. She's said to have been free of known medical conditions, with no prior warning signs her health might have been in danger.
She graduated from the University of Notre Dame and founded the website True Crime Diary.
