Paul Sparks Says Working on 'Waco' Had "Profound Impact" on His Life
The actor portrays religious leader David Koresh’s right-hand man Steve Schneider on Paramount Network’s six-hour limited series.
Waco, the new miniseries from Paramount Network, tells the story of the 1993 Waco siege, a standoff between the FBI, the ATF and David Koresh’s religious group, the Branch Davidians, at a ranch compound in Waco, Texas.
The mini, starring Taylor Kitsch, Paul Sparks, Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo, aims to bring the details of the deadly confrontation to life for those familiar with it, and those not, alike.
Before the series' premiere, Sparks — whose credits include House of Cards and The Greatest Showman — sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss taking on the role of Koresh’s right-hand man Steve Schneider and why working on the project had a deep impact on his life.
Waco premieres Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount Network.
