Pedro Pascal Joins Barry Jenkins' 'If Beale Street Could Talk'
Regina King and Brian Tyree Henry are both set to star in the James Baldwin adaptation.
Games of Thrones star Pedro Pascal has joined the cast of Barry Jenkins' If Beale Street Could Talk.
Jenkins adapted the James Baldwin novel, set in 1970s Harlem, and follows young engaged couple Fonny and Tish. When Fonny is falsely accused of rape, Tish, who is pregnant with their child, races to find evidence that will prove Fonny's innocence.
Pascal joins a cast that already includes Stephan James, Colman Domingo, Brian Tyree Henry and Regina King, as well as newcomer KiKi Layne.
Annapurna Pictures will finance and produce the adaptation, along with Moonlight production company Plan B and Jenkins' Pastel.
Pascal, who starred in Netflix series Narcos, was last seen in theaters in Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman sequel, The Golden Circle. He is set to star opposite Denzel Washington in the sequel to The Equalizer.
He is repped by WME, Untitled and Jackoway Tyerman.
