Peter Fonda to Star in Film Adaptation of 'Milton's Secret' (Exclusive)

The actor will play the grandfather to a young boy dealing with bullying in the family drama.

Peter Fonda will star in the upcoming film adaptation of Milton's Secret, based on the children's book by Eckhart Tolle and Robert Friedman.

The two-time Oscar nominee, who became famous for co-writing and starring in 1969's Easy Rider, will play the grandfather of the story's central character, Milton, a young boy who is dealing with being bullied in school.

Barnet Bain, a producer on What Dreams May Come and Homeless to Harvard, will direct the family drama, and he wrote the script with Donald Martin. Bain is also a producer alongside Stephen Huszar and Ryan Lockwood of Hulo Film.

Shooting is set to begin this summer in Vancouver.

Fonda, whose recent films include 2011's The Trouble With Bliss and 2012's Harodim, has several other projects in production, including horror film The Harvest and Civil War drama Copperhead.
