Peter Pan Live! only drew about half the TV audience of last year's The Sound of Music Live! when it aired Dec. 4 on NBC, but the event had a high-flying night on social media. Starring Girls' Allison Williams, the musical bested its predecessor by 25,000 tweets, thanks in large part to Christopher Walken's polarizing turn as Captain Hook.

NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt called the broadcast "a joy for everyone involved," though Twitter data shows audiences were slightly more inclined to express "hate" for Peter and the Lost Boys than for the von Trapps.
