Petrikin will spread word as Fox sr. vp

Chris Petrikin has joined 20th Century Fox as senior vp corporate communications. The public relations executive, who most recently ran corporate communications at WMA, will report to Pam Levine and Tony Sella, co-presidents of domestic theatrical marketing.

"Chris is a strategic thinker who brings a unique blend of entertainment business knowledge and journalism experience to the table," Sella said. "He will be an invaluable asset to the company."

Petrikin will oversee the studio's internal and external corporate communications and strategy in addition to its corporate advertising and charitable projects.

Petrikin is a former journalist, previously serving as executive editor, publications, for the WGA West. Before that, he worked as freelance writer for the Los Angeles Times, Premiere magazine, and National Public Radio.

From December 1999-April 2001, Petrikin served as the film editor for and executive editor of Inside Magazine. He also spent five years working for Variety.

Publicity executive Gregg Brilliant, who had been filling in since David Lux exited the position last summer, will stay on, though it is unclear in what role.
