Pharmacy sues Jackson for prescription debt

A pharmacy has filed a lawsuit against Michael Jackson, claiming the singer owes more than $100,000 for prescription drugs over the past two years.

Mickey Fine Pharmacy filed the lawsuit Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The Beverly Hills pharmacy alleges it had an oral agreement with Jackson to pay for all his prescription medications and sent monthly bills to the singer.

As of Dec. 25, 2006, Jackson owed $101,926 and had last made a payment in mid-2005, the lawsuit said.

Jackson's spokeswoman, Raymone K. Bain, did not immediately return a telephone message seeking comment.

A lawyer representing the pharmacy declined comment.
